Mile high and bored out of my mind!
Ok, as soon as I typed the subject I just heard the ever so famous "Is there a doctor on board?" question from the captain. I hope this doesn't turn into a food poisoning incident because I did order the chicken instead of the pasta!
I bring this post to you from my pirch a mile high from ground as I fly towards Calgary. So, for those who didn't follow what I just said I'm going to Calgary for the weekend. I decided to take a vacation from work so I took a few vacation days and followed the exodus from Newfoundland to Alberta. The choice to go east or west was actually pretty tough but the clincher was the fact that I don't want to spend my vacation up to my neck in snow in Newfoundland, so Calgary it is! I'm staying with Curtis so things will be cheap, as my flight only costed me 44 dollars. I will probably post here again when I get back and throw some pictures up on my website. It's almost been a year since the last time I put some pictures up there..fucked
So, what else is new? I decided to enter a venture capital creation contest sponsered by Wilfred Laurier University for something to do. The top prize is 25,000 so I figure what the hell! Why not try? I have a lot of the leg work done already and after looking at the competition I will be up against existing companies that have already started successfully (and have won a lot of awards already with their patented ideas), a lot of MBA students from Wilfred Laurier, a lot of high-tech ideas from Waterloo University, and god only knows who else. To make a long story short this will be a great learning experience for myself. I don't expect to win, but if I did? I think it would make me reconsider a few things in my life right now.
Anyway, I'm goign to sign off here now and go back to reading my book and feeling eveyr nerve in my neck burn as I do so, or maybe a quick game of starcraft to annoy who ever is playing a fucking gameboy close to me.

Hope you have a good time in Calgary! Too bad you're not heading this way, but I can certainly understand your decision and I'm sure we'll be seeing you in the spring/summer.
That venture capital creation contest sounds like a reasonable challenge. I'm sure you'll do fine with it and it sounds like something productive to occupy some time as well. Anyways good luck with it!

Oh, forgot to say. Don't diss Gameboy! It rocks!!!!! But Starcraft... nope, that sucks. Tetris is where it's at!
